A systematic mapping study over 86 primary and 11 secondary studies, asking whether enterprise architecture and IT governance proposals actually exist that integrate both into a BizDevOps context.
The finding is a gap, not a solution. No proposal in the corpus addresses BizDevOps, enterprise architecture and IT governance together; the literature has combinations of two, not three. The study is also blunt about the shape of what exists: a lack of empirical validation, and a predominance of recommendation-oriented papers that propose nothing that could be applied.
On the notation. Where models do appear, ArchiMate is the one that fits — because BizDevOps maps onto its three layers, which are also the three cycles of the approach (business, application, technology). BPMN appears alongside it for process concerns, but it cannot carry the motivation elements that make alignment visible to stakeholders.
