An early paper in this line of work, and the one that named the tension the rest of it tries to resolve: BizDevOps asks for more business involvement in software delivery, and asks for agility at the same time.
Those two goals pull against each other in predictable places — governance gates that lengthen cycles, requirements that harden once business stakeholders are in the room, and alignment efforts that quietly become waterfall. The contribution here is a structured account of where that happens, which is the precondition for the business capability model that came later in Improving IT/Business Alignment in DevOps.
