BizDevOps-VP: an ArchiMate architectural viewpoint for managing software projects under BizDevOps, designed with Design Science Research.

The problem it addresses. A viewpoint is what lets a mixed team — business stakeholders, product, engineering — discuss the same concerns without everyone modelling a different thing. Without one, alignment conversations turn into vocabulary disagreements.

The specification. Layers: business, application and technology, excluding the physical layer. Aspects: passive structure, active structure, behavior and motivation. The exclusion is deliberate; so is including motivation, because the why of a change is the part business stakeholders need to see and the part engineering diagrams normally leave out.

On the audience. The artifact is aimed at people responsible for BizDevOps initiatives who may have no background in enterprise architecture. That constraint shaped the whole design more than the ArchiMate specification did.
